Canon Abilities:For a general idea of what One is capable of, this
wikia link on Intoner's is provided. But here are the unique abilities related to One, or ones she has demonstrated and the others haven't.
- Enhanced 5 Senses - Every Intoner aside from Zero possessed a unique trait of theirs that kept increasing over time. In One's case, her five senses continued to grow. Her eyesight allowed her to spot easily missable details, like in the manga when Three was trying to hide something. Her sense of touch has grown enough that clothes are a bit uncomfortable. Her sense of hearing grew enough that she can hear others from far away, but also can give her headaches during large events like a parade. And her sense of taste grew so severe, that her diet/favorite thing is now just water as food or drinks carrying too much flavor will be too much for her to handle. In the game and side story, she has been able to adjust well to these changes to the point where they are not much of a hindrance. However, that's mostly because she has no choice. Her sense of sight also isn't bad enough that too much light is a bad thing for her eyes.
- Retaining Youth - Despite starting off life as a child (about 10 years, maybe younger), she rapidly grew into her current self in the span of two years. The Flower accelerated her growth speed, along with her other sisters besides Zero, and keeps them at the prime age where their bodies are physically the strongest. One had a different method for growing up, for when her sisters were in trouble and in order to defend herself, she used her Power of Song to erect a barrier to protect herself and Gabriella. Just as her child form was about to buckle from the stress of the onslaught, she pushed herself further, accelerating her age closer to Zero's (about 18-20).
However, due to the Pact made with Gabriella, which cost her time/years of her physical appearance, she appears as the physically smallest of her sisters and could never attain her adult form again until the Pact was broken upon her death.
- The Pact/Summoning - Beings in One's world are able to form a pact with beings like fairies and dragons, in which both parties able to gain greater power, and even heal from near death states, like Caim and Angelus in the first Drakengard game, or when Zero uses a pact to ensure Mikhail lives on after he succumbs to poison. However, a downside is that should one being of the pact die, so will the other. Pacts can be ended by either party however, shown in Route C of Drakengard 3 when Gabriel dies, yet One is still alive. Or within the original Drakengard and its Route C, where Angelus ends the pact with Caim before they fight. A pact however comes with a cost. In Caim's case, it was his voice. For One, it was her time, reverting her to a younger age.
In One's case, she formed a pact with a dragon named Gabriella, and later through magical means, transformed her into a Daemon Dragon named Gabriel. However, due to One technically dying, she has lost her Pact with Gabriel and is unable to summon him at all. She could also summon an Angel named Abdiel, who are a set of golems who could vanish and hide from their foes before striking. However, due to dying and losing the Flower, Abdiel is unable to be summoned.
Role: Myth
Role Qualities/Attributes: Horns on her head, poking just a bit away from her headband, as seen here.
Role Reasoning:
Despite One's selfless intentions in her crusade, her selfish desires grow far more prominent once she allowed her sisters to freely kill far more people with no repercussions. Given how the world grows worse thanks to her sisters and giving them no repercussions, along with the amount of soldiers/monsters she throws at Zero with reckless abandon, it's hard to really see One in a good light and earning the Legend role right away. She only took responsibility in the sense that she needs to kill Zero to save the world. But her plan was assumed her idea would be better than Zero, which more often than not, isn't and has resulted in even worse timelines, like the original Drakengard and the much worse manga timeline where her brother's life is The Worst. However, the idea isn't to permanently keep her as Myth, and it's being done so she can eventually try to work herself up to a Legend, into the person she wants to see herself as..
❥ Revised History
The world of Drakengard is cruel, set in a medieval world with occasional advances in technology like battleships. It's a world filled with fantasy elements like faeries, dragons, magic, etc. Many beings are filled with malevolence, seeking pure destruction of all life, like the Flower. One, like her sisters Two through Five, was created when Zero, infested by an eldritch parasitic Flower, attempted to kill herself instead of letting herself be used. Alas, not only did the Flower not let Zero die, but it created five sisters for Zero, likely to try and weaken her spirit and will to fight with loving sisters. However, Zero wasn’t going to be fooled so easily, and tried to kill all of them. The girls ended up fleeing and traveling across the world, heading for the Mercurius Gate, hoping to find knowledge and power to deal with Zero. All the while, One took the role as the eldest sister among the five, taking care of her family and protecting them often. During their travels, she even befriended a dragon by the name of Gabriella, viewing her as a true friend over time as they saved one another from powerful threats. A dangerous man known as Baltus however forced Gabriella to sacrifice her sanity, becoming a Daemon Dragon to defeat him. Defying all the odds, One created a Pact with Gabriella, and reversed the process.Afterwards, with the lords killed within the Mercurius Gate, the sisters began to divide and take over the territories. While cementing her rule, One spent the majority of her time in the library of the Grand Cathedral, trying to find any information on the Intoners. As she did so, she didn't reunite with her sisters until a year later, only knowing what they were up to thanks to reports from Gabriella. Due to the loneliness, she managed to create a clone through a rib in her body, a brother also named One, training him in case the worst should happen. She would also transform Gabriella into a Daemon Dragon under her control, at Gabriella’s request due to Zero being so strong, changing her into Gabriel. One would later reunite with her sisters to push back Zero, even summoning Gabriel to take away her sister's arm. Despite the united front, the rest of her sisters would go back to be separated. This was revealed to be One's plan. Seeing her sisters lose their sanity by tormenting the people under their rule, One would let Zero hunt down her siblings, not wishing to kill them herself due to their familial relationship. For Route D, One confronts Zero outside the cathedral. One finally manages to gain the upper hand, using her song to create a barrier Zero can't penetrate. It takes an outside force, the time traveler known as Accord to sacrifice herself to give Zero enough time to stab One in the head. She then dies, giving a monstrous scream, the flower likely almost taking her over before her death.
